Fuck God - Pedro Salinas

“Al diablo con Dios” (“Fuck God”) should better be called “Fuck the Catholic Church” because, instead of bombarding the foundations of the beliefs in God, Pedro Salinas blows up the performance of the people at the top of the Catholic Church. And for this purpose, he uses logic and real and overwhelming facts.

Moreover, this book is a terrible punch against everything that looks like repression, archaic ideas and intolerance.

The next extract, which has been taken from page 159 (my book is an illegal copy, by the way), sums up what “Al diablo con Dios” is all about:

“Its strict hierarchy, its unyielding dogmas and its closed system that leads to one way of thinking, in these modern times, don’t help either. They indeed help to outline a deteriorated, out-of-date, reactionary and pre-modern church.

By discriminating against women, forbidding contraceptive pills, concealing its priests’ sexual abuses, or by polarizing society over abortion, homosexuality and euthanasia issues, as you see, it (Catholic Church) doesn’t underpin any real reform or genuine correction; on the contrary”.
